Minutes of the meeting of Lillings Ambo Parish Council held at
‘The Lodge’, West Lilling. On Thursday 12th November 2015 at 6 pm.
Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 13th August 2015. Minutes previously
distributed, discussed approved & signed by the Chairman.
- The Chairman will contact District Councillor Eric Hope on several Parish Council concerns.
The parking of vehicles on the dangerous corner in front of the new ‘Village Farm’ property’s.
No joint meeting has been arranged between Sheriff Hutton Council, Lillings Ambo Council and the Highways Dept.
Potholes. No work or reply has been received re the potholes between Broadacres and Ambleside.
- The footpath clearing and fingerpost painting where discussed again. One
person has volunteered to help from the village.
- The Council was updated on ‘High Speed Broadband’ in the village.
- The Chairman had contacted Mr Wilson at ‘The White House’ to discuss
the Village and Parish Councils concerns re the frontage of this property.
The building work slowly continues. The Council hope to see this completed.

Inc part precept.£110.
Clerk’s expenses agreed £12-15
( including new lock)
Charity (PO) Account. £759-38.
The Audit forms have been returned by the external auditors (PKF Littlejohn
LLP). The comments on recording Precept and Grants separately were
discussed. No fee charged. A copy of the form has been displayed on the Village
Notice board for more than 14 days as required.
Precept Budget for April 2016
The Precept Budget was discussed and it was resolved that Ryedale District Council is asked for a precept of £220 in total for the year 2015 / 2016.
The Chairman signed the budget sheet and will sign the Ryedale Precept form when it arrives.
- 15/00254/73A. Mrs Lorna Marchi. Land Adj Rose Cottage. Removal of condition 14 to allow unrestricted use. This application had been referred to the Secretary of State on appeal. The appeal is dismissed.
- Mr P.Woodhouse. Ambleside.House. Certificate of Lawfulness.
Refused by Ryedale District Council.
This was discussed and it was decided not to give a gift at this present time. The
Councillors were asked to make enquires into suitable areas / persons this could
be given too.
The Clerk and Councillor Loynes reported on how the Ryedale set-up course is
proving to be both difficult and frustrating. The Clerk continues with this and was
offered the full Councils support and thanks.
Any Other Business.
Grass Cutting. This will continue to be cut by NYCC.
A copy of ‘The Ryedale Plan – Sites of Construction’ was discussed .Lillings Ambo showed no development.
The Clerk informed the Councillors of a ‘Neighbourhood Watch Event’ in Sheriff Hutton village hall on 16th November.
The date of the next meeting was agreed for Thursday 28th January 2016. at ‘The Lodge,’ West Lilling, 6pm.
