Minutes of the meeting of Lillings Ambo Parish Council held at
‘The Lodge’, West Lilling. on Thursday 9th November 2017 at 6 pm.

The following concerns were raised and discussed.
1. The speed, amount, size and type of vehicles going through the village.
2. The bad state of the roads. The council asked if there was any forward planning on
repairs and resurfacing of the areas roads. This will be looked into.
3. The junction onto the A64 at Scotchman Lane, Flaxton.
4. Poaching / Lamping in the area.
District Councillor Eric Hope will continue to represent and support Lillings Ambo Parish Council

previously distributed, discussed approved & signed by the Chairman.
The Council has received a ‘Thank You for the Neighbourhood Watch Grant.
Lloyds (main) Account. £1290-19
Inc part precept. £110.
Clerk’s expenses agreed £6-36
Charity (PO) Account. £769-68.
The Parish Financial Reserve. The Clerk has been contacted again by the external auditors and was informed that the accounts could now be approved /completed by them despite quotes and additional information not been sent. There would be no comments or action taken by them. The YLCA stated that twice the Annual Precept as a reserve was only for guidance and there was no ‘Statute in Law’
The Audit forms have been returned by the external auditors (PKF Littlejohn
LLP). No comments to discuss. No fee charged. A copy of the forms have been displayed on the Village Notice Board for more than 14 days as required.
Precept Budget for April 2017 The Precept Budget was discussed and it was resolved that Ryedale District Council is asked for a precept of £250 in total for the year 2018 / 2019. The Chairman signed the budget sheet and the Ryedale Precept form.
1. 17/00763/LBC. Mr & Mrs Crawford,. East Lilling Grange. Erection of a single
storey extension with glazed lantern to north east corner of building. Parish
Council no objection. Approved by RDC 16-8-2017.
2. 17/01101/HOUSE. Mr John Hollowood. Toft Farm. West Lilling. Erection of 2
Orangery extensions to rear gables of dwelling. Parish Council no objection.
Approved by RDC 7-9-17.
3. 17/01101/ HOUSE. Mr John Hollowood. Toft Farm. West Lilling. Detatched Oak
Framed open double garage. Parish Council no Objection. Approved by RDC
4. 17/0103/FUL. Field Rear of Rose Cottage. Erect a Detached Garage and 2 Stables
with Tack room. Section of access track to serve dwelling. Parish Council no
Charity Fund and Christmas Gift.
The Chairman has checked all Minute books for information re the formation of
the Village Charity Fund. No information found. This will be discussed again at
the next meeting.
Christmas Gift. This was discussed and it was decided not to give a gift at this
present time. The Councillors were asked to make enquires into suitable areas /
persons this could be given too. The Chairman will contact Sheriff Hutton History
group re a grant from the fund towards storage of West Lilling archives.

Any Other Business.
1. Mr McBurney commented on the over grown hedges around the village.
(the footpath to Sheriff Hutton & between Oaks View & Rose Cottage) The
Chairman will contact the landowners.
2. Duo Design Quote. The quote was discussed and it was decided to extend /
refurbish the Village Notice-board with paving to front. Councillor Wreglesworth
to contact Duo Designs.
The date of the next meeting was agreed for Tuesday 6th February 2018.
